Abstract: A Z-source five-level inverter topology with common-mode voltage (CMV) elimination for induction motor drive is proposed in this paper. It has only one dc source and different voltage levels are generated by using this voltage source along with floating capacitors charged to asymmetrical voltage levels. This can eliminate the common mode voltage (CMV) in the current through the Z-source inductors as well as the voltage across the Z-source capacitors. For the system parameters, the proposed control technique produces better voltage boost across the Z-source capacitor, DC-link, and AC output voltage than the traditional PWM. The pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme employed in this topology balances the capacitor voltages at the required levels at any power factor and modulation index while eliminating the CMV. The inverter has good fault-tolerant capability as it can be operated in three or two-level mode with CMV elimination, in case of any fault in the H-bridges. Extensive simulation is done to validate the PWM technique for CMV elimination and balancing of the capacitor voltages. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed topology can be considered for industrial drive applications.

Abstract: The extracted features of organic material are used as input vectors for the standard equations, results in increasing the intensity of OLED. Simulation results helps in the analysis of identify the error and help us to use the device more accurately and has a better emission rate compared to the previous time analysis by MATLAB. We search for flexible and robust displays imparted greater momentum to the hectic research in the field of Organic and Polymer Light Emitting Diodes (OLEDs & PLEDs). Ease of fabricating multi color displays through affordable and cost effective techniques accelerated these investigations. Being an interdisciplinary area, understanding its physics and modeling have become unequivocally important for shaping tomorrow’s device technology. By modeling PLEDs, analysis of quantum and power efficiencies is made possible from the current-voltage and luminance behaviors. Several approaches have been followed to generate device level behavioral models, like band based and exciton based models. Here the scope of Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) in device modelling is explored by fabricating and characterizing an MEH-PPV based device and simulating it by using MATLAB.

Abstract: Region of interest method on any medical image which will be given by doctor will be performed first of all. By applying region of interest method we can get our interested region only and can remove unnecessary part of the image.ROI also can be used for image compression. And then to improve quality of interested region image enhancement algorithm will be developed. And then image will be shown to doctor so that better quality image and this method can be used in medical application. And these whole procedure will be done on three type of image. ultrasound image, CT image and MRI image.

Abstract: Zigbee standard is very famous for transmission on low power specially in the devices like wireless mouse and keyboards. Several research on Zigbee technology are being carried out for better and better performance in terms of error probability or end to end performance. The lower error rate performance indirectly save energy of IEEE 802.15.4 data transfer. In this research paper higher order spatial diversity using multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology is utilized to enhance the performance of the Zigbee technology. In addition of proposed spatial diversity architecture O-QPSK is adopted which better perform with the standard than other modulation techniques. The proposed system is tested for transmitters and receiver considering 8, and 16 antenna pairs and found better results.

Abstract: This dissertation project presents Design & Development of Innovative Automobile security system to control the theft of a vehicle using GSM,GPS and Fingerprint module through ARM Cortex microcontroller. The main objective of this is to offer an advanced security system in multiple levels to protect the car from unauthorized access using GSM,GPS & RFID technology. It provides a protected password to unlock the car and real time biometric user authentication in second level to start the ignition after finger print verification is done. If the fingerprint not match with that in database, P89v51rd2fn produces the interrupt signal to disable the engine and initiates an alarm and also inform the car owner about the unauthorized access via short Message Services (SMS) based.

Abstract: Tribological performance of polymers and its composites are generally sensitive to operating and test conditions. These conditions make it difficult to understand the wear performance of Polymer Matrix Composites (PMC’s). Some of the factors like pre and post treatment operations on polymers, environmental and operational conditions, etc. have an effect on wear and friction properties. Various researchers have pointed out that the PMCs cannot offer opposition to all the different modes of wear. Researchers have also pointed out that the tribological behaviour of plastics can be enhanced by the inclusion of fillers. In the present investigation, the tribological performance of Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS) under normal / dry sliding, 24 hours water absorbed and electroplated (EP) conditions are compared. It is to be emphasized that very little information is available about the effects of electroplating on the wear performance of ABS plastics. The results of the research indicate that with electroplating the wear resistance of ABS plastics increases.

Abstract: Wire-cut Electric discharge machining is a non conventional machining process. A lot of research work has been done on machining of different material in WEDM. There are many process parameters in WEDM such as pulse on time, pulse off, peak current, duty factor, servo reference voltage, wire tension, wire feed rate, dielectric pressure, table movements, work piece thickness, work piece material etc. which effect the performance parameters as surface finish, material removal rate, kerf width and electrode wear rate etc. This paper reviews the effect of process parameters on the performance characteristics such as surface integrity characteristics and roughness, material removal rate, kerf width and wire wear rate of WEDMed work piece and also can give an idea for the selection of the hard material such as nickel based super alloy, cobalt based super alloy, titanium based super alloy, iron super alloy on which rare amount of research work has been reported using WEDM.

Abstract: Conveyor system in automation technology is used worldwide to carry and transport various types of products to the different work stations. Twin rod assembly is designed to overcome the disabilities on the conveyor using INVENTOR software. Twin rod assembly is used as a sub-assembly in the conveyor to overcome the direction controlling issues. According to the product shape and size there are some disadvantages as well as advantages in a conveyor system. The main aim of the design is to eliminate the product losses by hitting in the conveyor while taking change in direction and to guide the product for dispatch. This newly designed assembly is cost effective and simple design where as it can be implemented in any automation system.

Abstract: Now a day’s man wants to live in an intelligent and smart environment, an environment that would make life more easy and comfortable, enhancing the quality of his living, with various intelligent automation devices and services. The application of Wireless Sensor Network, forming a network of various sensors interlinked wirelessly and working together to perform a particular function. It include per¬ceives the environment and searches for event occurrences by sensing different physical properties, such as temperature, humidi¬ty, pressure, ambient light, movement, and etc. In such cases the location information of both phenomena and nodes is usually required for tracking and linking purposes. The position information of nodes is crucial. Here in this paper, we proposed an improved DV-HOP location algorithm basis of local estimating and correction in location for WSN. We introduce the anchor nodes are shortest distance nodes from the origin as the main participants to estimate the location of unknown node, namely, we use different average hop distance to estimate the distance between the anchor node and the unknown node according to the number of anchor nodes with the given the communication range, the local information can better produce the location of the unknown nodes. Meanwhile, we are taken the anchor nodes without using the GPS.

Abstract: Electrical energy is one of the major building blocks of modern society. Fossil fuels are finite and environmentally costly. Large-scale ambient energy such as solar, wind and tide is widely available and large-scale technologies are being developed to efficiently capture it. Recovering even a fraction of energy would have a significant economic and environmental impact[1][2]. This is where energy scavenging (ES) comes in. Energy scavenging is a process that captures small amounts of energy that would otherwise be lost as heat, light, sound and vibration. It uses this captured energy to improve efficiency and enable new technology such as wireless sensor networks.ES also has the potential to replace batteries for small and low power electronic devices[3]. This has several benefits such as maintenance free, environmentally friendly and opens up new applications[4]. In this paper authors are demonstrating how to capture electrical energy and developed a voltage of 150 volts by using green material as Lead Zirconate Titanate (PZT 5 A) patches by using harmonic vibrations for the charging of low power devices through investigated novel energy scavenging contrivance.
